South Korea’s Posco Group has begun construction of new plants for nickel refining and precursor production in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, as part of its strategy to secure a stable supply chain for secondary battery materials. The project is a joint effort with China’s CNGR, a leading global precursor producer.
